This 18-hole tournament format has the lower score of the two players representing the team score. Any amateur golfer 18 years of age or older with an official USGA handicap is eligible. Fee includes greens fees\, range balls\, golf shop merchandise credit payout\, and lunch at the turn. Approximately 20% of the field will receive merchandise credit. Trophies will be awarded to the winners. Call 630-378-4215 to register. \nFormat: 18 Hole Partner Best-Ball: Each person plays their own ball and uses their own handicap to receive a net score on each hole. The best net score of the partners on each hole is the team score for that hole. The lowest team score for 18 holes is declared the winner. Men will play from the blue or white (Age 70 or older) tees and women will play from the green tees. Handicap indexes will be converted from the appropriate tees.  Players will receive 85% of their individual converted course handicap.  If there is a tie for first place\, a scorecard playoff will determine the winner. \nEligibility: Any amateur golfer 18 years of age or older with an official USGA handicap is eligible. If no official USGA handicap is established there will be a requirement to join Springbrook’s or Naperbrook’s handicap membership and provide a list of your latest scores so that a handicap can be established. The rules committee reserves the right to adjust handicaps. Maximum course handicap is 36 strokes.  Effective Handicap Date: April 8\, 2024. \nRegistration Information: Register for this tournament online\, by mail\, or in person at Springbrook or Naperbrook Golf Course by Sunday\, April 7\, 2024. Cost is $130 per team ($65 per person); entry fee must be paid in full at time of registration. Fee includes: greens fees\, range balls\, prizes and lunch at the turn. Teams canceling up to 5 days in advance of scheduled tournament date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 4 days or less in advance of the tournament will be charged a 25% administrative fee. Approximately 20% of the field will receive merchandise credit. Trophies will also be awarded to the winners. \nStarting Time: Starting times will be available on Wednesday\, April 10\, 2024. Play will begin at 7:00 a.m. off the first tee only. Tee time requests will be considered on a first-entered basis. \nKeep Pace Policy: For tournament play\, our courses administer a Keep Pace Policy designed to allow golfers to complete 18 holes in 4:16 or less. Any group that is more than 10 minutes behind the preceding group will be contacted by a Player’s Assistant who will help the group regain its position.  If the group cannot regain its position\, individuals will be timed on each shot.  If a player takes more than 40 seconds to play their shot\, they will be assessed a one stroke penalty.  The maximum penalty will be two strokes\, per person\, per hole.

DESCRIPTION:Date:\n\nNovember 18 and 19\, 2023\n\n\nCourse:\n\nNaperbrook Golf Course and Springbrook Golf Course\n\n\nStart Time:\n\n9:30 AM\, first tee time\n\n\nCost:\n\n$45 per person/$225 per team\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Begins November 11 at 8:00 AM \nImportant Registration Information \nNaperbrook and Springbrook will host two separate “Cross Country Turkey Shoots.” Each event will consist of a field of up to ninety players\, a total of eighteen fivesome teams. \nFor questions\, contact the golf shops. \nSpringbrook – (630) 848-5060 \nNaperbrook – (630) 378-4215 \nThe date choices are:\nNaperbrook – Saturday\, November 18\nSpringbrook – Sunday\, November 19 \n  \nUpdated Format and Safety Guidelines \nChanges have been made to this event to adhere to current safety guidelines and maintain social distancing protocols.  Both events will have individual tee times available between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM.  This will not be a shotgun start.  The clubhouse and indoor seating area will be closed and unavailable for golfers during this event\, except in the case of lightning or other weather related concerns.  Food and beverage service will be open at the walk up window\, and a box lunch will be provided.  The golf shop will be open to allow purchases\, however capacity will be limited to 4 customers at one time.  Restroom facilities will be open.  Otherwise\, all participants will be required to remain outside the clubhouse.  Please be prepared for inclement weather\, including rain\, snow or cold. \nAll groups must be fivesomes and full payment for the entire group is due at registration. Entry fee is $45 per player\, $225 per fivesome. Entry fee includes 9-hole cross country scramble\, lunch and a prize turkey.  Golf carts will be available\, weather permitting. A maximum of 3 carts per group will be allowed\, fees will be $10 per person. \nRegistration: \nRegistration will begin at 8 AM on Saturday\, November 11.  Register online or in the golf shop at Naperbrook Golf Course only.  Registration will not be available at Springbrook Golf Course\, or by phone.  Tee time requests will be first come\, first served.  Registration for either course will close when 18 teams have registered for that course.  Contact the golf shop at Naperbrook to be added to a wait list for either event. \n\nWithdrawals: \nThe Turkey Shoot is often played in difficult weather conditions – rain\, cold\, even snow.  Golf carts will be available only if weather permits.  Teams withdrawing through November 19 will receive a full refund.  Teams withdrawing after November 19 will receive club credit\, minus a 25% service fee. \nAbout this Tournament and Prizes: \nEveryone is eligible to play in this festive\, holiday golf event that tends to wrap-up the golf season. This fun\, 9-hole scramble format has 5-person teams playing each course in a “cross country” set up. All participants receive a turkey.  As part of the tradition of the Turkey Shoot\, players that don’t wish to receive a turkey can donate the value of the turkey to a local charitable organization.   \nThe Naperville Park District has selected Operation Support Our Troops – a Naperville-based organization – to be the beneficiary of donations from the 2023 Turkey Shoot events at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses. Participants may elect to donate the monetary equivalent of their prize turkey that will be forwarded on to this cause that supports “the morale and well-being of American forces by providing comfort\, resources and education to them and their families.”  If you are planning to donate your turkey\, please inform staff at registration or check the box to donate your turkey on the registration form.  The price of your turkey will be included in our cash donation to Operation Support Our Troops.  \nGo to Operation Support Our Troops for more information. \nFormat:\n9 holes\, fivesomes only – and lots of fun!
