Senior Fall Scramble

Take part in this year’s Senior Fall Scramble – an enjoyable 18-hole tournament that has the best shot from each four-person team selected as the recorded shot. Any amateur golfer 55 years of age or older with an official USGA handicap is eligible to play. The entry fee is $45 per person, which includes green fees, prizes and lunch. Riding cart are an additional fee. Trophies will be awarded to the winners. Call 630-378-4215 to register.
Format:
Four Person Scramble: All men’s handicaps are calculated from the white tees; all women’s handicaps are calculated from the green tees at Naperbrook Golf Course. Only two members of the team may have a handicap of ten or lower; the total handicap of the team must be 36 or greater. All teams will play 6 holes from the blue tees, 6 holes from the white tees, and 6 holes from the green tees. You may choose when to play each hole from which tee, but 6 holes must be played from each of the 3 sets of tees. All players must use his/her tee ball twice throughout the round. This will be a gross event. If there is a tie for first place, a scorecard playoff will determine the winner.
Eligibility:
Any amateur golfer 55 years of age or older with an official USGA handicap is eligible. If no official USGA handicap is established there will be a requirement to join Springbrook’s or Naperbrook’s handicap club and provide a list of your latest scores so that a handicap can be established. The rules committee reserves the right to adjust handicaps. Effective Handicap Date: August 30, 2024
Registration Information:
Register for this tournament online, by mail, or in person at Springbrook Golf Course or Naperbrook Golf Course by Friday, August 30, 2024. Cost is $180.00 per team ($45.00 per person); entry fee must be paid in full at time of registration. Fee includes: greens fees, range balls, prizes and lunch at the turn. Riding cart fees are extra. Cart fees are $17 per person. Teams canceling up to 5 days in advance of scheduled tournament date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 4 days or less in advance of the tournament will be charged a 25% administrative fee. Trophies will be awarded to the winners.
Starting Time:
Starting times will be available on Monday, September 2, 2024. Starting times will begin at 7:00am off of the first tee. Tee time requests will be considered on a first-entered basis.
Keep Pace Policy:
For tournament play, our courses administer a Keep Pace Policy designed to allow golfers to complete 18 holes in 4:16 or less. Any group that is more than 10 minutes behind the preceding group will be contacted by a Player’s Assistant who will help the group regain its position. If the group cannot regain its position, individuals will be timed on each shot. If a player takes more than 40 seconds to play their shot, the team will be assessed a one stroke penalty. The maximum penalty will be two strokes, per hole.
